UAS Field Service Technician (Drone Operations)

Location: Must reside within 50 miles of the Midland, Texas operations hub; primarily field-based with work from the Midland hub when not at a customer site. Daily driving to client sites and up to 25% flight-based travel throughout Texas and the United States.

What you will do

• Deploy, install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair aerial and ground robotic systems at customer sites.
• Plan and execute assigned field activities independently while coordinating with operations, engineering, sales, marketing, customers, and external teams.
• Maintain flight equipment, testing tools, documentation, schedules, and operational status updates.
• Conduct safe drone and robotics operations in accordance with FAA, aviation, OSHA, and customer-specific protocols.
• Participate in field testing of autonomous robotic systems and identify product improvements.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of technical experience operating drones or 2+ years of industrial technician experience; at least 2 years of technician work in electrical, mechanical, assembly, or repair roles.
• FAA Part 107 certification preferred, or ability to pass the exam within the first 30 days; the company pays for the exam.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, clean driving record, and residence within 50 miles of Midland, Texas are required.
• PEC/SafeLand SAFESTART certification, H2S Clear, and a clean Motor Vehicle Record are required or expected for the role.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather, lift and carry 50–100 lb objects, and perform physically demanding work around equipment and confined spaces.
• Strong customer-facing, written, verbal, presentation, teamwork, self-learning, and communication skills; willingness to work non-routine hours and overtime.
