Bookkeeper (Space Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain or Porto, Portugal; legal right to work in the chosen location required

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, recording, and supplier payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts while investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Record daily financial transactions and support monthly close activities through reconciliations, journals, and documentation.
• Process employee travel and expense claims and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Work with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and auditors to resolve queries and support audit activities.
• Contribute to improvements in financial processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable processes, and the accounting cycle.
• Knowledge of financial reconciliations, invoice processing, and payment procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, prioritisation, and deadline management.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as Xero, NetSuite, SAP, or similar software.
• Legal right to work in Spain or Portugal, depending on the chosen location.
