Communications and Marketing Leader (AI/Biotech)

hirify.global builds frontier generative models that learn the fundamentals of biology, drawing on expertise in AI, protein science, latent diffusion, lab data management, and high-throughput protein screening.

What you will do

• Define and own the communications and marketing strategy, including narrative, messaging, brand positioning, channels, cadence, and success metrics.
• Build the executive platform through speaking opportunities, ghostwritten thought leadership, and leadership positioning in AI-driven biology.
• Lead communications for research launches, fundraising, partnerships, product news, and other high-stakes company milestones.
• Translate research ideas into public-facing content across LinkedIn, op-eds, editorial content, website materials, video scripts, keynote speeches, and investor narratives.
• Build media relationships, manage press enquiries, and identify speaking opportunities across scientific and industry events.
• Develop partnership and business-development materials and manage external PR, design agencies, and freelancers.

Requirements

• Experience building a communications function from scratch at a startup, scaling deep-tech company, or science company.
• Fluency in AI for biology; protein design knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience across media relations, narrative development, brand positioning, stakeholder relations, content marketing, and crisis and reputation management.
• Established relationships with journalists and editors covering AI and life sciences.
• Degree or research experience in life sciences or a related scientific field.
• Experience leading communications for a funding announcement, major product launch, or comparable high-stakes milestone.

• Experience with protein design and Bio-ML research communication.
• Experience in an early-stage deep-tech or science startup.
