Annual salary: $54,000–$58,000 USD for candidates working from Phoenix, Arizona.

What you will do

• Report on Arizona’s people, power, and policies across the governor’s office, legislative committees, and judiciary.
• Produce scoops, analysis, Playmaker Profiles, and explainers for an engaged insider audience.
• Develop sources across the political spectrum and throughout Arizona.
• Contribute to special series, newsletters, and public-facing events.
• Collaborate with hirify.global journalists to strengthen nationwide statehouse coverage.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional reporting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.
• Ability to write clean, compelling, and accurate stories.
• Commitment to nonpartisan, fact-based journalism.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
