Technology Reporter — Business of Tech, AI & Power (AI)

Base salary: $120,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce a regular cadence of scoops and definitive analytical pieces on technology, business, and AI.
• Build and maintain high-level sources across AI labs, major technology companies, venture and growth capital, and the political ecosystem around tech policy.
• Write agenda-setting stories connecting company and policy decisions to capital accumulation, geopolitical competition, and technological transformation.
• Collaborate with journalists across business, finance, politics, and international coverage on cross-beat stories.
• Contribute to newsletters, shows, live journalism, on-record panels, and other newsroom collaborations.

Requirements

• Five or more years of relevant experience in technology or business journalism.
• Demonstrated success developing deep sources inside companies and venture capital.
• Ability to combine insider knowledge with authoritative analysis for executives, investors, and policymakers.
• Established voice and sharp perspectives on major technology stories.
• Experience working in fast-moving, ambitious newsroom environments and willingness to support broader newsroom needs.
• Strong interest in the intersection of technology and power.
