Location: Billerica, Massachusetts, United States; laboratory-based role

Salary: $63,000–$79,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform analytical testing of R&D samples, new products, and in-process samples.
• Operate ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS, and related analytical platforms.
• Prepare samples for ICP-MS analysis using microwave digestion and ashing.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and verify the performance of analytical instruments.
• Maintain test methods, procedures, work instructions, laboratory supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, communicate results, improve analytical workflows, and support senior scientists with method development projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with knowledge of mass spectrometry.
• Experience operating and maintaining general laboratory instruments, particularly ICP-MS.
• One to two years of related experience or training preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and disposal procedures and the ability to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Ability to record and analyze quantitative data, make qualitative observations, manage multiple projects, and work independently in a collaborative laboratory environment.
