Technical Manager – Marlborough Leveraged Analytical Sciences

What you will do

• Lead a team of 16 analytical scientists and technicians supporting R&D and manufacturing.
• Prioritize analytical testing and method development to meet business and site needs.
• Guide the application of analytical chemistry and measurement science techniques.
• Develop team capability through hiring, training, coaching, and technology investments.
• Drive EH&S, quality, compliance, digital enablement, automation, and laboratory optimization.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and business leaders while managing external analytical providers.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of industry experience, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as LC, GC, NMR, or ICP-MS.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and guide teams in applying analytical methods.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams and developing people leadership responsibility.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or customer-facing technical organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience transferring methods from R&D to manufacturing.
• Familiarity with STARLIMS, JMP, and Power BI.
