Global Supply Manager- Closures (Automotive)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; up to 25% travel required

What you will do

• Build strategic relationships with external suppliers, internal business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop sourcing strategies, supplier research, competitive benchmarking, and cost analysis for closures components and systems.
• Lead supplier negotiations and execute terms and purchasing agreements for tooling, prototypes, pre-series, and production components.
• Conduct make-versus-buy analyses and identify commercial cost-reduction opportunities.
• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and serve as the primary contact for commercial issues.
• Track deliverables and report progress and metrics to executives while maintaining timing, quality, cost, and craftsmanship targets.

Requirements

• Automotive industry experience is required; closures experience is preferred.
• Background in automotive, engineering, or finance, with customer- or supplier-facing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required; an MBA is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or supply chain.
• Working location: Santa Clara, California; willingness to travel up to 25%.
• English is required; German or Mandarin is preferred.
