Enterprise Solutions Engineer (Retail Tech)

Location: Remote

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Gather requirements from retail clients and analyze store operations, backend systems, data needs, dependencies, and integration risks.
• Design end-to-end architectures for ingesting, processing, and publishing Tally robot data to POS, ERP, WMS, workforce management, inventory, and planogram systems.
• Advise customers on hirify.global APIs, mobile applications, business intelligence tools, configurations, and integration best practices.
• Develop proofs of concept, pilot use cases, demos, and technical documentation in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Deployment, Customer Success, Sales, and customer teams.
• Support implementation and deployment by configuring integrations, setting up Tally devices, managing data flows, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Drive user adoption through training, onboarding, documentation, success metrics, usage monitoring, and product feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in solutions engineering, system integration, or a similar customer-facing technical role, preferably in SaaS for retail.
• Experience with retail systems including POS, ERP, WMS, workforce management, inventory management, and planograms, along with common data schemas and batch or real-time data transfer.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, Python, SQL, regular expressions, data modeling, and system integration design patterns.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern ETL or streaming data pipelines; knowledge of robotics or IoT is beneficial.
• Ability to lead cross-functional implementation projects, create architecture diagrams and requirements documents, manage risks, and communicate technical concepts to executives and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of robotics or IoT concepts.
• Experience with GS1 standards, barcode symbologies, planogram formats, or workforce management integration trends.
• Experience at a SaaS company serving the retail sector.
