Enterprise Solutions Engineer (Retail Tech)

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Gather requirements from retail clients and assess POS, inventory, planogram, ERP, WMS, and workforce management integration points.
• Design end-to-end integration architectures covering data ingestion, preprocessing, publishing, and data flows from stores to corporate systems.
• Advise customers on hirify.global APIs, mobile applications, business intelligence tools, configuration options, and implementation best practices.
• Develop proofs of concept, pilot use cases, demos, and technical solution iterations with cross-functional teams.
• Support deployment by configuring integrations, setting up Tally devices, troubleshooting issues, and minimizing operational disruption.
• Drive user adoption through training, documentation, onboarding, success metrics, usage monitoring, and feedback to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in solutions engineering, system integration, or a similar customer-facing technical role, preferably in SaaS for retail.
• Experience with retail systems, common data schemas, batch and real-time data transfer methods, and related security considerations.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, Python, SQL, regular expressions, data modeling, and system integration design patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern data pipelines including ETL and streaming.
• Experience leading cross-functional implementation projects, managing risks, creating architecture diagrams and requirements documents, and communicating with technical and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics or IoT concepts.
• Knowledge of GS1 standards, barcode symbologies, planogram formats, and workforce management integration trends.
