What you will do
- Assess customer data infrastructures, Spark workloads, performance bottlenecks, and technical constraints.
- Design integration strategies and technical architectures using Lakehouse technologies and Open Table Formats including Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Hudi.
- Integrate solutions with Spark, Python, Scala, Java, and AI/ML frameworks.
- Guide proof-of-concept implementations, performance benchmarking, and production deployment planning.
- Lead technical workshops, training sessions, and architecture reviews for customer engineering teams.
- Communicate customer challenges and integration opportunities to sales, marketing, and product engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, post-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting in data and analytics.
- Deep expertise in Lakehouse architectures, Open Table Formats, and modern data engineering patterns.
- Hands-on technical sales experience with Apache Spark, Python, Scala, Java, and AI/ML frameworks, including implementation and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP, with experience onboarding customers to data and analytics solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills for technical documentation, whiteboarding, and presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
