Associate, Clearing Operations (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at the St Pete Global HQ in Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus and full benefits.

What you will do

• Support daily clearing and settlement across DTCC, CNS, and non-CNS workflows.
• Execute DTC equity settlement functions, including ACAT and non-ACAT transfers, pair-offs, SPO charges, RAD management, and fail reporting.
• Manage fails and buy-ins, including broker-to-broker notices and monitoring through DTC’s Obligation Warehouse.
• Resolve trade exceptions across CTM and OASYS and perform trade, cash, and position reconciliations.
• Support institutional trade flows from allocation and affirmation through confirmation and DTCC settlement.
• Maintain aging reports, controls, SOPs, and documentation while partnering with technology, treasury, and finance on issue resolution, audits, and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in clearing, settlement, or broker-dealer operations.
• Series 99 and/or Series 7 license, or the ability to acquire the required license within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of DTCC settlement, including CNS and non-CNS, plus institutional trade flows.
• Hands-on experience with Apex Clearing, clearing omnibus or self-clearing, fails management, buy-ins, CTM/OASYS, and reconciliations.
• Understanding of back-office controls, break management, operational risk, and OCC rules and regulatory frameworks.

• Production experience at a retail broker-dealer.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
