Funding Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $59,000–$77,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Review approved credit memorandums, loan approvals, and loan or lease documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Verify that all funding conditions are satisfied and independently determine transaction readiness.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, credit administration, legal counsel, title companies, vendors, and customers.
• Prepare and execute authorized legal documentation and initiate domestic and international wire transfers and other disbursements.
• Resolve documentation and funding issues, escalate exceptions, and support internal and external audits.
• Recommend process improvements, test workflow enhancements, and assist with procedures and training materials.

Requirements

• Experience reviewing and analyzing commercial loan, equipment finance, or lease documentation.
• Ability to verify funding conditions and ensure compliance with approved credit structures, internal controls, and bank policies.
• Knowledge of lending procedures, regulatory requirements, OFAC, BSA, and AML controls.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and support audit requirements.
