What you will do

• Develop and optimize semiconductor process modules for photonic integrated circuits and quantum photonic devices.
• Execute integration activities across deposition, lithography, etch, metrology, and defect reduction.
• Characterize optical and material performance using process, metrology, and device data.
• Identify yield limiters and process variability drivers, then implement corrective actions.
• Support fabrication of waveguides, modulators, resonators, detectors, and integrated photonic structures.
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams and support process transfer to manufacturing and pilot-line environments.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor process integration, photonics process development, or advanced device fabrication.
• Experience with lithography, thin-film deposition, etch processing, and metrology.
• Experience with process control, yield analysis, SPC, DOE, or root-cause analysis.
• Strong hands-on laboratory and cleanroom experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with silicon photonics, silicon nitride, AlN, Al₂O₃, lithium niobate, or related photonic materials.
• Experience with waveguide fabrication, optical coupling, or photonic-device characterization.
• Familiarity with quantum photonic systems, cryogenic optical measurements, or integrated optics.
• Experience with Python, JMP, MATLAB, or statistical analysis tools.
• Experience in an advanced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
