TL;DR

Salary: $159,700–$230,000 USD annually for the Bay Area, California

What you will do

  • Lead large, complex technical programs for FPGA device development from definition through production rollout.
  • Coordinate execution across silicon design, IP, software, firmware, validation, and system enablement teams.
  • Build and maintain program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk tracking.
  • Align geographically distributed teams across North America and Asia, establishing ownership and accountability.
  • Identify critical-path issues and resource constraints, then develop mitigation plans.
  • Support silicon bring-up, validation, sampling, manufacturing readiness, executive reporting, and delivery decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, program management, or engineering program leadership.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in transceivers, embedded systems, configuration and security, PCIe, Ethernet, or ASIC design/verification.
  • 8+ years managing complex cross-functional hardware and software development programs, including silicon, hardware, software, firmware, IP, and validation.
  • 7+ years managing programs across multiple organizations and geographically distributed international teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle, execution planning, dependency management, stakeholder communication, and program management tools.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with FPGA, ASIC, or silicon-based product development, including silicon bring-up, validation, or manufacturing readiness.
  • Hands-on background in silicon design, validation, or software/firmware engineering.
  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall, or scaled execution frameworks in hardware-centric environments.
  • Experience presenting program status and execution metrics to senior leadership.
