Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Location: Chaska, MN, United States; onsite second shift, 2 PM–10 PM CST, Monday–Friday

Salary: $24–$27 per hour, plus shift differential bonus and a $3,000 sign-on bonus

What you will do

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using visual, mechanical, and measurement-based methods.
• Use calipers, pin gages, height gages, indicators, micrometers, optical comparators, smart scopes, and CMM equipment.
• Approve or reject products, create quality notifications for non-conformances, and document inspection findings.
• Perform process audits and capability studies to support process stability and continuous improvement.
• Communicate discrepancies to supervisors and production teams, contributing to root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain measurement equipment, quality records, ERP entries, and a safe, compliant work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read documented processes, procedures, blueprints, technical specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Experience with precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, dial indicators, optical comparators, smart scopes, or CMM equipment.
• Understanding of statistical process control, basic chart interpretation, and capability analysis.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand or sit for extended periods, and handle small components with manual dexterity.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment during the second shift and use required PPE.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of quality or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with SAP, quality systems, or digital inspection tools.
