TL;DR

Custom Physical Design Engineer (ASIC): Delivering RTL-to-GDSII implementation for multiple ASIC design partitions with an accent on physical design flow ownership, custom placement, timing closure, and physical signoff. Focus on solving congestion, power, timing, and physical verification issues while integrating custom macros and closing IR/RV, FEV, LVS, and DRC checks.

Location: Penang, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia)

ASIC physical design engineering work focused on RTL-to-GDSII implementation and physical signoff.

What you will do

Own and deliver RTL-to-GDSII implementation for multiple design partitions.
Manage the physical design flow from synthesis through place-and-route, custom pre-route, timing closure, and physical signoff.
Perform custom floor planning, placement, scripted pre-route, and optimization.
Close IR/RV, FEV, LVS, and DRC signoff checks.
Coordinate custom macro interfaces and integrations.
Resolve timing, congestion, power, and physical verification issues independently.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience in custom ASIC physical design.
Hands-on experience with PNR, timing closure, and physical signoff.
Strong TCL scripting skills for custom pre-route and placement.
Proven ability to own design blocks independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with Fusion Compiler and Innovus.
