FedRAMP Senior DBA (Oracle)

Location: Itasca, Illinois, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and willing and eligible to undergo a background investigation, including Public Trust or equivalent screening if required. Certain assignments may require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident status, or eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, availability, performance, security, and support of mission-critical hirify.global Cloud database platforms.
• Administer Oracle 19c+ environments on Linux, including RAC, ASM, Exadata, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, OEM, and multitenant databases.
• Perform upgrades, patching, cloning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery testing, and complex performance troubleshooting.
• Ensure database environments meet FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls, maintaining audit evidence, POA&M documentation, configuration baselines, and compliance artifacts.
• Implement Oracle STIG and CIS hardening, unified auditing, encryption, privileged access management, MFA, vulnerability remediation, and incident response procedures.
• Drive Bash scripting, CI/CD and infrastructure automation, monitoring improvements, operational documentation, and DBA knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of enterprise or cloud Oracle DBA experience and 2+ years supporting an additional database platform.
• 3+ years of shell scripting automation experience.
• Experience operating in regulated environments such as FedRAMP, FISMA, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
• Experience with Oracle 19c+, RAC, ASM, Exadata, GoldenGate, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, performance tuning, cloning, migrations, Linux, and Bash.
• Experience with at least one additional platform: Azure SQL Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, WebLogic, DevOps and CI/CD tools, ServiceNow or Jira, and database security and compliance controls.
