Engineering Manager

Location: Paris, France · Hybrid. Remote work is available from anywhere within the employee's country, with up to 25% of working time abroad.

Salary: €80,000–€90,000 per year + €5,000 variable compensation.

What you will do

• Manage and develop the X-Connectors team through one-on-ones, coaching, skills mapping, training plans, and continuous feedback.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain engineers as the team grows.
• Build the team roadmap with Product and translate it into execution plans with the Product Owner and Tech Lead.
• Improve delivery predictability, release quality, deadline management, and operational risk visibility.
• Drive the adoption of generative AI tools such as Claude Code and measure their impact on connector maintenance and productivity.
• Represent X-Connectors in strategic and cross-functional forums while collaborating with Product, DevOps, Platform, Value Added Services, Data, and AI teams.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of direct engineering management experience, including management of backend development teams.
• Strong technical background, ideally in Python or a similar language, with the ability to challenge architectural decisions.
• Excellent people-management skills, including coaching, delegation, feedback, and team development.
• Practical expertise and daily experience with generative AI tools and the ability to deploy AI use cases for engineering productivity.
• Data-driven approach to delivery, including operational metrics and predictability tracking.
• Clear communication skills and comfortable use of English in an international environment.
