Part-Time Medical Assistant (AI Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid role with travel across New York City; work takes place in clinic headquarters, community organizations, mobile clinics, and virtual care environments.

Salary: $26–$33 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support patient scheduling, intake, registration, vital collection, examinations, procedures, and basic care within scope.
• Provide patient follow-up, explain care plans, and help patients navigate appointments and healthcare resources.
• Coordinate relationship-based, culturally responsive care with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, dietitians, health coaches, social workers, and navigators.
• Use EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and digital tools to support care delivery and improve workflows.
• Support group visits, lifestyle medicine programs, community outreach, and mobile care initiatives.
• Collect patient feedback and contribute to reporting, program improvement, and patient experience enhancements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification or equivalent.
• Active New York State driver's license.
• Up-to-date required vaccinations for healthcare personnel.
• Fluent conversational and medical Spanish.
• Comfort using EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and digital tools, with strong communication, reliability, and flexibility.

Nice to have

• 2–3 years of experience in the medical field.
• Additional clinical experience as an EMT, CNA, nursing or medical student, or clinical scribe.
• Experience supporting underserved or community-based populations.
• Experience with insurance workflows, reimbursement, or billing.
• Interest in lifestyle medicine, preventive care, or community health.
