Operations Manager - Medical Records Retrieval

Location: On-site at New York–Presbyterian Hospital in Midtown, New York, NY, with occasional travel to the Queens clinic and availability to travel as needed, potentially including overnight stays.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead medical records retrieval operations and manage a team of release of information specialists.
• Set operational objectives, performance standards, workflows, and coverage plans.
• Hire, retain, coach, mentor, and manage the performance of team members.
• Implement client programs, coordinate project activities, and address delivery and quality concerns.
• Maintain SOPs, training, turnaround-time standards, reporting, and process consistency with regional and global partners.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, profitability improvement, client relations, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and prior experience preferred.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment while prioritizing deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and maintain annual HIPAA certification.
• Must be comfortable working on-site in Midtown New York and traveling as needed.
