Biz Ops Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, Canada. Work anywhere in the world for 60 calendar days per year.

Base salary: CAD 100,000–140,000 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and drive adoption of operational processes and systems for a fast-scaling company.
• Lead change management, including workflow rollouts, training, and follow-through.
• Review vendor agreements and customer redlines, support negotiations, and maintain SOC 2 compliance.
• Build AI-assisted workflows and playbooks to make routine contract and compliance work self-serve or automated.
• Support cross-functional strategic projects involving pricing analysis, vendor consolidation, go-to-market efficiency, and operating models.
• Help teams adopt AI tooling and design agentic workflows for company operations.

Requirements

• Track record of designing, building, and running operational processes.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, systems-level problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Active interest in AI and motivation to rebuild manual work in an AI-native way.
• Comfort reading contracts, understanding redlines, and identifying problematic terms.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and implement appropriate structure.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Vancouver, Canada.

Nice to have

• Startup experience.
• Hands-on SOC 2 compliance experience.
• JD or legal background.
