QA Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Define test plans, acceptance criteria, coverage matrices, and quality standards for new AI agent features.
• Validate conversations across voice, chat, and email for accuracy, tone, hallucinations, and edge cases.
• Own QA gates, regression suites, test cycles, and production-readiness sign-off for releases.
• Manage a distributed QA team across San Francisco and offshore locations, coordinating work across time zones.
• Triage, prioritize, and document defects for efficient engineering resolution.
• Build QA processes, workflows, tools, and documentation from the ground up.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA or quality assurance experience leading testing for complex products.
• Experience managing or leading distributed QA teams.
• Strong test planning skills, including edge-case analysis and comprehensive test strategies.
• Experience testing conversational AI, voice systems, chatbots, or other non-deterministic products.
• Clear, organized communication and detailed defect reporting.
• Ability to establish QA standards, challenge release readiness, and build a quality function from scratch.
