Senior Accountant

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. U.S. export-control rules require applicants to be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year, plus performance incentive, equity, and stock options.

What you will do

• Own key areas of the monthly close and help achieve a consistent five-business-day close.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial reports.
• Support revenue recognition, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, bank reconciliations, and cash matching.
• Perform expense classification, departmental allocation, flux analysis, and variance analysis.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers, support the annual financial statement audit, and coordinate audit requests.
• Improve and automate procure-to-pay, expense, finance-system, and accounting workflows across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Requirements

• 2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies independently and drive issues through resolution.
• Strong attention to detail, systems aptitude, and ability to learn new finance tools quickly.
• Process-improvement mindset with interest in accurate, automated, and scalable accounting operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification.
• Big 4 or other public accounting experience.
• Experience at a high-growth startup or similarly fast-moving environment.
• Interest in AI-enabled finance and accounting workflows.
