Senior Accountant (Insurance)

Location: Las Vegas, NV; office attendance required 6–7 days a week

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience and CPA status

Insurance company rebuilding the industry by designing, underwriting, pricing, and issuing insurance directly with AI.

What you will do

• Own the month-end close across multiple entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Manage accruals and prepaids to ensure expenses are recorded in the correct periods.
• Build and maintain intercompany schedules and support consolidation and elimination entries.
• Produce accurate financial reporting at both entity and consolidated levels.
• Lead audit preparation with clean workpapers, strong documentation, and no surprises.
• Partner with operations, finance, and legal on budgets, forecasts, decision-making, process improvements, acquisitions, and new entity integrations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong GAAP foundation and ability to apply accounting principles thoughtfully.
• Comfort working in a high-growth, high-complexity environment.
• Ability to communicate with leadership and connect detailed accounting work to business performance.
• Strong ownership, speed, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• CPA or active CPA candidacy is preferred.
