Chief Development Officer (Real Estate, Design & Construction)

Location: New York City, Chicago, or Los Angeles

Annual base compensation: $300,000–$330,000, plus an annual bonus and participation in a long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead Real Estate, Design, and Construction as an integrated physical development function.
• Redesign development and construction processes to reduce cost and build time without sacrificing quality.
• Lead build-to exercises, evaluate product and budget trade-offs, and build partnerships with construction firms.
• Own the real estate pipeline, including sourcing, deal structures, negotiations, funnel management, and market expansion.
• Serve on the executive team and align Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product on priorities and execution.
• Develop leaders and guide teams through major operational change.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in construction and design, with strong fluency in commercial real estate.
• Executive-level experience owning and scaling a physical development or real estate platform.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across geographies with operational excellence.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including understanding of unit economics and EBITDA.
• Proven ability to drive results in ambiguous, fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
• Clear, directive leadership and experience partnering with senior leadership on company-wide strategy.
