Senior Backend Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Malaga, Spain; hybrid work policy. Up to 10 days per year may be worked remotely from abroad.

What you will do

• Design and develop distributed backend services with C#/.NET and event-driven architecture.
• Build scalable loyalty campaigns and rewards solutions in collaboration with product and commercial teams.
• Optimize microservices for performance, reliability, and observability.
• Drive containerization and cloud migration using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
• Lead or contribute to architecture discussions, technical decisions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Participate in incident resolution and the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with C# and modern .NET versions after .NET Core.
• Experience designing backend services, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven solutions.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Couchbase, including indexing and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and unit, integration, or performance testing.
• Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Availability for hybrid work in Malaga, Spain and participation in the on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Web APIs, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Orleans.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Splunk, or other observability stacks.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions, trunk-based development, progressive delivery, domain-driven design, event sourcing, or the actor model.
• Experience with Agile and Lean principles and a DevOps mindset.
