Senior Backend Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, distributed services, and data-processing pipelines.
• Build and operate reliable, high-performance platform services in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, designers, product managers, employees, and external partners.
• Influence software architecture, execute the software and platform roadmap, and improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Identify technical gaps, solve complex engineering challenges, and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to the Director of Engineering and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technology field.
• At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience in a high-performing team.
• Strong knowledge of backend architectures, distributed systems, APIs, service-oriented design, messaging, concurrency, and scalable system design.
• Professional experience with Python, Go, or similar backend technologies; PostgreSQL and MongoDB; RESTful APIs; and Git or SVN.
• Experience designing, testing, debugging, deploying, observing, and maintaining scalable backend services in cloud environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
