Senior Software Engineer I (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and build secure, scalable, and highly reliable software solutions for complex banking technology problems.
• Own engineering work items end to end, from initial concept and delivery planning through production release.
• Contribute to service standards covering security, performance, cost, and reliability.
• Investigate production issues across multiple services and lead incident mitigation, fixes, and post-mortem work.
• Partner with Product Managers to prioritize features, define technical specifications, and align solutions with product strategy.
• Mentor less experienced engineers, participate in technical interviews, and communicate architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in modern backend languages, ideally Go or Python.
• Experience building distributed, cloud-native systems using technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, gRPC, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience supporting high-throughput production systems and diagnosing complex distributed-system issues.
• Ability to break ambiguous, complex problems into clear and deliverable milestones.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical design documentation and consensus building.
• Collaborative, feedback-receptive approach focused on robust client and business outcomes.
