Senior Engineering Manager, Infra Domain (all genders)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid and remote-friendly options. The role is mainly expected to be based in Germany, preferably in Berlin; Poland locations are also listed.

What you will do

• Lead teams across Platform Engineering, Internal IT, and Information Security.
• Own cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, internal IT platforms, and security capabilities.
• Define strategy, transparent roadmaps, execution plans, and operational excellence standards.
• Manage vendors, negotiate commercial conditions, and track infrastructure and project costs.
• Improve engineering productivity, system resilience, availability, scalability, and business security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading and developing engineering teams in high-growth technology environments.
• Strong technical background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, Information Security, or related areas.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams, managing multidisciplinary functions, and balancing strategic and operational priorities.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, infrastructure automation, observability, and security best practices.
• Experience improving reliability, availability, and security in production environments at scale.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience leading Platform Engineering, Internal IT, and Information Security together.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR-related initiatives.
• Experience supporting globally distributed engineering organisations.
• Background in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or travel technology.
