Head of Operations (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

hirify.global is a deep-tech spin-off of TU Munich that uses quantum sensors to capture three-dimensional current maps within multilayer chips, supporting semiconductor manufacturers with chip debugging and yield analysis.

What you will do

• Own the manufacturing strategy for complex, high-precision capital equipment using a combination of in-house capabilities and specialist suppliers.
• Scale low-volume, high-mix production by improving repeatability, quality, cost, automation, throughput, and yield.
• Build and optimize global supply chains, including supplier qualification, procurement, inventory, and long-lead component risk mitigation.
• Work with Engineering and Product on design for manufacturing, serviceability, testing, and subsystem development.
• Establish a global service organization covering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and 24/7 customer support across Europe, the US, and Asia.
• Hire and lead manufacturing, service, and supply chain teams while owning quality, safety, compliance, and operational metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading manufacturing for complex, high-precision capital equipment, ideally in semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with low-volume, high-mix manufacturing and complex, configurable products.
• Demonstrated success developing manufacturing strategies and scaling global supply chains with specialist suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes, quality, throughput, automation, and operational efficiency as production volumes increase.
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing and experience with field service, installation, and spare-parts operations.
• Fluent English required; German is an advantage.
