General Manager (Photonics Manufacturing)

hirify.global is a well-funded startup developing photonics infrastructure, optical interconnects, and photonic engines for AI supercomputing and high-performance computing.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end operational execution for 800G, 1.6T, and future optical modules, including delivery, cost, quality, and production ramp-up.
• Lead the global manufacturing ecosystem across EMS and ODM partners, OSATs, fabs, and critical suppliers.
• Translate customer demand and revenue targets into build plans, capacity commitments, supply strategies, and risk-mitigation actions.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, capacity reservations, long-term supply agreements, and cost-down initiatives.
• Establish dual-sourcing, second-source qualification, supplier contingency, demand-planning, S&OP, and quality-management processes.
• Build and lead teams across operations, supply chain, planning, and quality while partnering with product and hardware engineering.

Requirements

• Progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain within hardware, deep-tech, or advanced electronics environments.
• Experience scaling products from NPI through high-volume manufacturing with ownership of yield, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Technical foundation in optics, semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, or related fields; optical transceiver, data-center hardware, or high-speed networking experience is preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in manufacturing process development, yield analysis, root-cause problem solving, corrective actions, QMS, reliability testing, and applicable quality standards.
• Experience working across manufacturing hubs in Taiwan, Thailand, China, and Vietnam; Singapore experience is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel internationally as required.
