Power BI Developer

Location: Penang 15, Penang, Malaysia. Shift: Shift 1 (Malaysia)

hirify.global is expanding its Data & Analytics team to develop business intelligence and reporting solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate stakeholder analytical needs and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Build and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M).
• Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL Server, APIs, and other data sources.
• Implement row-level security, access controls, and workspace governance.
• Troubleshoot data issues, validate results, ensure reporting accuracy, mentor junior developers, and contribute to BI standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of total professional experience.
• 3+ years of business intelligence development experience focused on Power BI.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, dimensional modeling, and star or snowflake schemas.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large relational databases and multiple data sources, including cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or AWS.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Power BI or Azure certifications, such as PL-300.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or other data engineering tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, enterprise data governance tools, and mentoring or leading BI projects or teams.
