Solutions Engineer - Data Visualization (Power BI)

Location: US - TX - Home Office; travel to hirify.global, partner, and customer events may be required.

Estimated annual pay range: $144,000–$169,000 USD, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Design and deliver enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and dataflows aligned with business objectives.
• Use Tabular Editor, Power Query, and DAX to build optimized models and complex calculations.
• Apply human-centered design, information design, and WCAG 2 or Section 508 accessibility principles to analytics solutions.
• Lead discovery sessions and collaborate with architects, data engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders.
• Implement governance, security, Row Level Security, and role-based access controls.
• Support adoption through documentation, training, troubleshooting, post-implementation support, and reusable consulting assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, UX Design, Information Design, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Three or more years of experience delivering enterprise analytics solutions with Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and relational data sources using SQL or equivalent query languages.
• Experience applying human-centered design principles and working in a consulting or enterprise delivery environment with direct client engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables and explain technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Eligibility to work in environments handling sensitive government or healthcare data; a background check may be required.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or willingness to obtain it within the first year.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure analytics services, Tabular Editor, Deneb, ETL, dimensional modeling, and enterprise analytics architectures.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and secure data handling in regulated environments.
• Portfolio, GitHub repository, or other public work demonstrating relevant expertise.
