Focus on designing scalable dashboards, tuning performance across DAX, SQL, semantic models, and Snowflake compute layers, and maintaining reliable governed analytics assets.

What you will do
- Design and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models, dataflows, dashboards, paginated reports, and datasets.
- Build advanced DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and analytical logic.
- Develop dimensional data warehouse models using star schema and fact/dimension methodologies.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake reporting solutions, including clustering, compute management, warehouse sizing, workload management, and cost optimization.
- Write complex SQL using CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and query optimization techniques.
- Gather stakeholder requirements, translate business needs into reporting solutions, document data lineage and metadata, and collaborate with developers, architects, SMEs, and data engineers.
Requirements
- Senior-level profile with 5+ years of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, dataflows, and paginated reports.
- Advanced SQL development experience, including CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of star schema design, fact and dimension modeling, and dimensional data warehousing.
- Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake, tuning Snowflake performance, applying Snowflake RBAC, and documenting metadata and data lineage.
Nice to have
- Experience embedding Power BI reports into applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, or Azure DevOps for Power BI deployments.
- Experience with enterprise data warehouse initiatives and cloud-based analytics environments.
- Experience in government or highly regulated industries.
