Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate, Analytical Development (Gene Editing)

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and execute analytical assays for genetically edited porcine cells and animals.
• Perform cell culture, including isolation, growth, and maintenance of primary endothelial cells from porcine organs.
• Characterize cells and transgene expression using flow cytometry, ELISA, conventional PCR, real-time PCR, and potency assays.
• Identify assay anomalies, conduct root-cause analyses, and propose corrective paths.
• Manage reagent inventories, batch samples, and execute full-plate assays to optimize laboratory resources.
• Partner with QC on analytical method transfers and communicate scientific findings at group and company meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 4 years of industry experience in cell biology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing, troubleshooting, and executing assays for transgene expression and potency.
• Proficiency with mammalian primary cell and cell-line culture, including aseptic techniques.
• Expertise in ELISA, flow cytometry/FACS, PCR, and cellular and molecular biology techniques.
• Ability to independently prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with demonstrated laboratory efficiency and inventory-management experience.
