Cloud Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany; remote work from a global location is available for up to 90 days per year. Relocation to Berlin is possible.

hirify.global provides a geospatial platform for ordering, accessing, managing, and processing Earth observation data at scale and has been part of Neo Space Group since July 2025.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and scale reliable cloud-native infrastructure.
• Manage and deploy cloud resources using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads in Google Cloud Platform.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve system resilience.
• Collaborate with development teams on effective SLOs and SLIs and participate in an office-hours-only on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable AWS/Azure experience.
• Solid production experience with Terraform, including reading, modifying, and deploying existing infrastructure-as-code modules.
• Hands-on experience operating containerized production workloads and building CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.
• Experience with observability and monitoring systems such as Prometheus.
• Full business fluency in English and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience building Terraform modules.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, and routing.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices.
