Focus on building multi-account AWS environments, improving observability, leading incident response, and enabling product teams through robust infrastructure services.
Location: Remote, based in Germany; office location in Wildpoldsried

What you will do
- Design, develop, and operate platform solutions that improve the reliability, security, and scalability of database platform infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership for AWS cloud infrastructure, networking, CI/CD, and security.
- Shape the team strategy, roadmap, and architecture across multiple product teams and companies.
- Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Lead incident management and troubleshooting to maintain a stable and predictable environment.
- Define and maintain observability solutions covering metrics, logging, and tracing.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS, EC2, AppSync, Amazon RDS, and S3, or comparable technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments, landing zones, governance models, cloud networking, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and the ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural and leadership responsibilities.
Nice to have
- Database internals expertise, including performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and replication.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience with AWS VPC design, subnetting, routing, security groups, NACLs, VPN, and Direct Connect.
