Private Cloud Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Karlsruhe, Berlin or Munich, Germany. Home office options and flexible working hours are available; relocation service is offered if you live outside Germany.

What you will do

• Expand and optimize an on-premises Kubernetes cloud platform running on bare-metal servers with more than 85,000 CPU cores.
• Develop and maintain the Kubernetes platform supporting more than 500 cloud-native services.
• Automate infrastructure build and deployment processes through continuous integration.
• Develop Kubernetes operators and platform capabilities for persistent storage, GPUs and Istio service mesh.
• Contribute to open-source projects and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call team.

Requirements

• Degree in technical studies or comparable education.
• Several years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools in highly scalable environments.
• Strong Linux skills and good knowledge of Bash, Python and/or Go.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, feature branches and merge or pull requests.
• Fluent English is required. German skills are preferred.
• Interest in automation, operations and complex technology stacks.
