Network Specialist

What you will do

• Manage and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud network infrastructure, maintaining availability and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Plan, design, and implement network technologies, including switches, wireless access points, Cisco routing and switching platforms, and related site diagrams.
• Review low-level designs, networking changes, and project impacts before deployment, and support infrastructure and LAN improvement initiatives.
• Administer and troubleshoot Cisco ISE for network access control, authentication, and policy management.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security across production environments.
• Maintain network documentation and configurations, participate in major incident resolution, and collaborate with automation, project, operations, field, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar network specialist role and experience managing large enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP, IPSec, NAT, OSPF, HSRP, VRFs, STP, and related networking technologies.
• Experience with Cisco controller-based networks and management tools, including SD Access, SD-WAN, and Catalyst Center.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus 9K switches, ISR, ASR, Catalyst, and IR series routers, as well as Cisco Fabric and wireless LAN controllers.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, SolarWinds Orion, and Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center monitoring or management systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English, stakeholder management, self-directed work, troubleshooting, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with people across different time zones and in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Service delivery experience, including reporting and SLA management.
• Tertiary technology qualifications or Cisco and Palo Alto certifications at Advanced, Professional, or Expert level.
