Technical Specialist (Managed Networks)

Location: Macquarie Park, NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home

What you will do

• Deliver operational support for Aruba SD-WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi environments, resolving incidents within SLA and communicating proactively with customers and stakeholders.
• Own and prioritise critical incidents, major network faults, sensitive customer events, and escalations while maintaining accurate updates in ServiceNow.
• Execute network deployments, site onboarding, edge-device configuration, orchestrator integration, firmware upgrades, policy updates, routing changes, and complex MACs.
• Apply ITIL-based incident, problem, change, and transition management practices, maintaining documentation and operational governance.
• Perform root-cause analysis, automate routine tasks, improve processes, and optimise managed network and hosting solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases, contribute technical leadership, mentor colleagues, and keep industry certifications current.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Aruba SD-WAN, including overlay and underlay troubleshooting, routing, tunnel connectivity, QoS, firewall policies, and Aruba Orchestrator operations.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba switching, routing, Central On-Premises, VLANs, Layer 2/3 networks, redundancy, monitoring, and software lifecycle management.
• Specialist knowledge of Aruba wireless technologies, Mobility Controller/Conductor, ClearPass, WLAN services, authentication, NAC, roaming, security, and client onboarding.
• Experience with Python or Ansible scripting and automation, managed services support, escalation management, network security, encryption, and large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder-management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Engineering or ICT degree or Advanced Diploma, plus relevant Aruba certifications including ACP-S, ACSDP, ACMA, or ACMP.
