Head of Finance (Deep-Tech Hardware)

hirify.global is a deep-tech hardware company founded as a spin-off of TU Munich, developing quantum sensor technology for three-dimensional current mapping in multilayer chips and supporting semiconductor manufacturers with chip debugging and yield analysis.

What you will do

• Own accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, compliance, reporting, and financial operations end to end.
• Lead monthly and annual reporting under HGB and build IFRS readiness for future financing, audits, and international growth.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, liquidity management, venture debt, and financing activities.
• Build financial processes for global capital equipment deliveries, including multi-currency operations, FX management, hedging, export considerations, invoicing, revenue recognition, and internal controls.
• Manage European Chips Act and other public funding programs, including reporting, cost statements, audits, and compliance.
• Support fundraising, board reporting, investor relations, ERP evolution, and the development of the finance team.

Requirements

• Finance leadership experience in deep tech, hardware, semiconductors, industrial technology, or another capital-intensive environment.
• Experience building and scaling finance functions in high-growth companies with hands-on ownership.
• Experience managing European public funding programs, including financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of HGB and practical IFRS experience, preferably in fundraising, audits, or international expansion.
• Experience with capital equipment or project-based businesses, long sales cycles, milestone billing, revenue recognition, treasury, liquidity planning, FX management, and financing activities.
• Fluent English is required; German is an advantage. Experience with ERP systems and financial process implementation is expected; Odoo experience is a plus.
