Finance Business Partner Commercial Finance (m/f/d) (eCommerce)

Location: Cologne, Germany. The role is office-based; individual work-from-home arrangements may be available, including up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Partner with senior stakeholders on strategic and day-to-day commercial decisions.
• Analyze financial and operational drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and improve profitability and unit economics.
• Evaluate pricing, marketing, and growth initiatives through fact-based analysis, business cases, and scenario modeling.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning while connecting financial outcomes to business drivers.
• Improve planning through data, automation, and AI.
• Translate complex financial and commercial data into actionable recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business controlling, or finance business partnering.
• Experience in eCommerce, digital, or consumer-oriented businesses is preferred.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, forecasting, profitability, and customer or unit economics.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a data-driven mindset.
• AI-first approach to improving planning, analysis, insights, and decision-making.
• Strong commercial, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, including senior-management exposure.
