Senior Cyber Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; full-time onsite. No telework or alternate work location is available. Work is Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with a start time between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Occasional weekend support may be required for installations and upgrades.

Base salary: $151,800–$187,500 USD per year, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and RHEL 8.x systems supporting hirify.global appliances in physical and virtual environments.
• Create and manage virtual hosts on ESXi or Hyper-V and troubleshoot appliance performance issues.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and controls based on STIGs and scanning reports.
• Install firmware and maintain DellEMC and HPE servers, SANs, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor Kubernetes clusters with tools such as Grafana, review logs, and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Provide first-line onsite support, deployment planning, customer reporting, and technical coordination with hirify.global support and development teams.

Requirements

• Active TS with SCI or SCI eligibility within two years from the last use.
• Ability to meet U.S. ITAR or EAR work authorization requirements.
• At least one DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience, plus 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Windows, RHEL, ESXi or Hyper-V, enterprise networking, firewalls, certificates, server hardware, and security remediation.
• Ability to perform physical hardware tasks, including lifting, racking, and cabling.
