Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote; candidates must reside in one of the listed U.S. states or the United Kingdom. Active security clearance is required, with Top Secret preferred.

Salary: $117,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and scale cloud-native infrastructure supporting a new customer portal and platform refactoring.
• Architect and maintain Kubernetes-based production environments across AWS.
• Lead Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code initiatives for automated provisioning and consistent environments.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment reliability, velocity, and developer experience.
• Operationalize MLOps workflows and embed DevSecOps practices, security controls, compliance, and monitoring.
• Monitor performance and costs, automate operations, support incident response, and drive root-cause remediation.

Requirements

• Active security clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices, including Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with software development, scripting, and programming for DevOps automation.
• Strong understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Expertise in system administration, network configuration, troubleshooting, and Linux performance and security.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with MLOps and Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
