Associate, Capital Markets

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States; ability to work from the Washington, D.C. office at least 3 days per week. Travel of up to 25% is required.

What you will do

• Support the execution and structuring of construction and term debt, tax equity, corporate facilities, minority equity sales, and interest rate management transactions.
• Develop and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects, including underwriting analyses and return sensitivities.
• Manage financial due diligence from initial discussions through closing with consultants, counsel, technical teams, and development teams.
• Review project documentation supporting consultant reports and due diligence responses.
• Coordinate deliverables and reporting across development, asset management, energy markets, legal, finance, and commercial teams.
• Support amendments, consents, financing guidance, project acquisitions, and offtake pricing activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience focused on project finance.
• At least 1 year of renewable energy experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, solar energy technologies, and project finance principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with proven Microsoft Office experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and able to work from the Washington, D.C. office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• MBA or CFA designation.
• Transaction experience in energy, infrastructure, or real estate.
• Background in development, operating companies, private equity, management consulting, or banking.
