Manager, Software Architect (Azure/.NET)

Location: Office/Hybrid in the USA. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of Software Architects, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, and career development.
• Provide architectural guidance to multiple development teams from project inception through production deployment.
• Establish and document coding standards, architectural patterns, architectural decision records, and governance practices.
• Conduct code and design reviews and guide teams in resolving performance, quality, and production issues.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and patterns that improve platform scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partner with engineering, product, development, and Director-level leadership on architectural vision, roadmaps, and cross-functional planning.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related software engineering experience, including 7+ years developing web applications and 3+ years developing cloud-native applications.
• At least 1 year of direct people management or formal team lead experience; 2+ years of direct management experience is expected for the broader role.
• Strong skills in Azure, microservice architecture, C#, SQL, unit testing, and .NET.
• Experience with .NET/ASP.NET Core WebAPI, JavaScript, Angular, and SOLID principles.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow technical talent, manage organizational change, and solve complex problems independently.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Azure Cosmos DB or another NoSQL database.
• Azure Container Apps, Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Pub/Sub, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, or CDC patterns.
