Intermediate Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Calgary, Toronto, or Edmonton, Canada

What you will do

• Deliver full-stack features end-to-end across front-end, back-end, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Build RESTful APIs, cloud-hosted services, modern JavaScript/TypeScript interfaces, and Docker-based deployments.
• Develop LLM-powered product features using the Claude API or Azure OpenAI, including prompts, context management, RAG components, and tool integrations.
• Create unit, integration, API, and LLM evaluation tests, including regression checks for prompt behaviour and agent tool use.
• Participate in technical design, research, prototyping, risk identification, documentation, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers, and product managers while contributing reusable components and internal libraries.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional full-stack development experience shipping production features end-to-end.
• Daily hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or comparable AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong experience with cloud services, ideally Azure, and proficiency in C#, Python, TypeScript, or an equivalent object-oriented language.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services, and developing with React, Vue, Angular, or a similar modern front-end framework.
• Experience writing unit and API tests, using Docker, Git, and branch-based workflows.
• Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related education or equivalent experience, plus Agile delivery and strong technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating Claude, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI APIs into product features.
• Exposure to RAG, vector databases, tool-augmented LLM workflows, or agentic frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Experience creating LLM evaluation harnesses, CI/CD pipelines, or automated deployment workflows.
• Consulting, applied AI, client-delivery, open-source, or internal platform experience.
