Product Engineers (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; on-site

Salary: $168,000–$213,000 base salary per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own substantial product features from conception through production, including requirements gathering, architecture, deployment, and iteration.
• Develop interfaces for case management, reporting, and analytics.
• Build document analysis and verification systems.
• Create agentic workflows that coordinate AI tools and data services for research, enrichment, and verification while keeping humans involved in review.
• Build configuration tools and workflow builders for customers and non-technical users.
• Work directly with customers to understand needs, validate solutions, and improve compliance operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production software; roles are also available for engineers with 6+ or 8+ years of experience.
• Strong full-stack capabilities across backend services, APIs, and databases; frontend development is beneficial.
• Experience shipping reliable, customer-facing products.
• Clear communication and product-thinking skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to diverse audiences.
• Strong foundations in data modeling and distributed systems.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies in production, including TypeScript, Python, Node, React, cloud infrastructure, and workflow orchestration frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience building workflow engines, orchestration systems, or process automation tools.
• Experience in regulated industries where compliance, auditability, and data integrity are critical.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into production applications.
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems, versioning, or complex authorization models.
