Product Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Mateo, California, or Somerville, Massachusetts

Base salary: $200,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build customer-facing applications used to diagnose, teach, evaluate, and operate robots.
• Spend approximately one quarter of the time with customers to understand use cases and distill product requirements.
• Implement product ideas across web UIs, APIs, hardware appliances, robot interfaces, and human workflows.
• Design external and internal APIs for customers and deployment partners to access company systems.
• Build tools and workflows that support researchers, engineers, and operations partners.
• Develop the primary web application used to evaluate and train robot models.

Requirements

• Strong intuition for user interface and user experience quality.
• Understanding of modern web technologies, including TypeScript, React, FastAPI, Postgres, and AWS.
• Ability to work across the full product and technical stack.
• Ability to manage and leverage modern AI coding agents while maintaining production quality standards.
• Ability to work on-site in San Mateo or Somerville.
