Incident Response Coordinator (Cybersecurity)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Coordinate containment, eradication, recovery, and other incident response activities under the corporate security incident response plan.
• Manage post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide 24x7 on-call incident management support on a rotating basis for critical security incidents.
• Communicate incident updates to executives and coordinate with Legal, Privacy, Risk Management, and security teams.
• Coordinate remediation of bug bounty findings with whitehat researchers.
• Maintain incident response runbooks and recommend improvements to security controls and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in incident management or incident response.
• Knowledge of network operations, systems administration, security operations, intrusion detection, SIEM, penetration testing, web application assessment, secure coding, and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of incident response phases, security frameworks, and data protection requirements including PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, PII, and NIST CSF.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and drive resolution.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• ITIL V4.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, or GCIH.
• PCI, GDPR, or NIST security compliance experience.
• Google Cloud or AWS foundational knowledge or certifications.
• Experience with Google Workspace and JIRA.
